Why the walls of an operating room matter
Tile joints, gypsum and airborne contamination are all part of the infection risk. Antibacterial modular panels remove most of them.
PACS is a medical imaging technology that stores images and clinical reports and sends them electronically. It removes the need to file, store and retrieve films by hand, and lets images be viewed from workstations and mobile devices.
In our approach, a single central computer is the only interface to the hospital systems. Each operating room is a client of the PACS and of the hospital information system (HIS), and the solution can act as a universal client for any type of PACS. That keeps the number of licences small.
Monitors, the wall clock and timer, alarms and medical gas indicators are mounted flush with the wall of the operating room. Flush surfaces are easier to clean and leave no place for contamination to collect. The ORCP-8 panel brings lighting, doors, ventilation and alarms into one user interface that can still be extended later.

Filtered air flows down over the operating table and leaves at the room corners. The geometry of the room is what keeps the zone clean.
